At TAMUK, the Department of Music is one of the most active place on campus! The Wind Symphony led by Professor Fred Velez just completed Spring Tour with a very well received concert at Texas Music Educators' Association Convention. Our award winning Jazz Bands led by Dr. Paul Hageman and Professor James Warth organized annual Jazz Fest with Claudio Roditi as the soloist. Our vocal department completed production of Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini. Our trumpet ensemble is in Washington DC, competed in the international trumpet competition...and the list goes on!
Our tuba euphonium studio is active as well! We are gearing up for a concert on March 23rd at 6:00PM and performance at International Tuba Euphonium Conference in Denver Colorado this summer.
